Pam was kept busy in July

In July I was invited by Swimming SA to attend a Facilitators course. The first part of the process was for facilitators to go through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). This meant I had to give a presentation before a qualified assessor and I had 3 days to prepare - huge stress!!. But I got through it and am now a recognized and qualified facilitator. Whew!!

We then spent one day going over how the Learn-to-Swim Instructors Course should be presented - lots of new ideas and very productive!!

Two very interesting days thereafter - Alan Rapley, former Olympic swimmer and now a consultant to British Swimming kept us on our toes as he went through the process of how to deliver the Coaching Level One course. A very dynamic man and we learnt lots - especially how everyone involved in a sport needs to work together for the good of the sport in a country - not about competing against each other.
